Side note: (and of course to no fault or blame of Julie) the hours of accessibility are a bit different, but maybe its the area of this location, I don’t know, and the availability of carts for use on the upper floors is sparse.

I have only had the pleasure of talking to Julie, the general manager at this location and she is such a delight! Pleasantly helpful, polite, patient, understanding and she has such a warming voice! (She really needs a radio gig with that voice.)
I really liked that this place was climate controlled but I didn’t like that the place wasn’t 24/7 entry. I guess it’s to control the traffic that goes in bc there are other businesses on the first floor. Although if you are a business you can have different access hours, so they will work with you. It was a little bit more on the pricier side but you pay for that with the cleanliness and customer service. You have your own access code so they can see who goes in n out and the times so if anything goes wrong, Julie will contact you.
Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone just so they could have the pleasantries of meeting Julie."
"Late charges are 20bux, my small unit was 35$ month perfect for me, ,now it's 60.$way to much,1st time passing the 5day Grace period, other storage facilities wave 1st time late charges, as soon as life storage took over (formally U S storage) they immediately raised rent on everyone's account and Termating former employees, that's horrible, I will be out end of September, found another storage unit down the road for 37$same size on Perrin brutal, so who gets the late charges? Manager of course,no wonder she couldn't talk to me.

"When I rented there they assured me that it wasn't a problem renting on the third floor because they had elevators. Well. The elevator that I use to get to my unit has been broken for MONTHS! MONTHS! Also they just raised the prices. How you gonna raise the prices when the elevator is always broken and now the gate doesn't work? 👎👎👎👎👎"
"rented a unit to a legally blind woman with the promise of fixing the lights so that she can see. three months later after.they day we tell them we are getting out suddenly the lights are fixed.STAY away from this place the workers are nice but the corporate headquarters care nothing of you and your belongings...they wont listen to there employees or there customers."
"I've been a Life Storage customer at other locations and have always been happy with the experience. However, I was very disappointed recently. The Life Storage on Blanco in San Antonio raised my rent from $79 to $99 in the first 6 months and then to $109 12 months later! After many emails and phone calls to have this reviewed, the area manager, Danny Stewart, did not seem to care about my situation. His explained that he could get $109 for the unit, and he had the right to raise it each month if he wanted to. That's how the contract is written. I think it's not right to lure in a new renter at a great rate, only to raise it once they sign a contract. Probably all storage contracts are this way, but I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED that Life Storage on Blanco decided to take advantage of it."
"This was a classic bate and switch routine. Rented a small unit at a great price for my Sister-in-law who is on a fixed income. Six months later the price was increased by 25%, and then raised again by 10% after another 12 months. Called and talked to the manager who said there was nothing he could do. Talked to the regional manager, Danny, who finally after multiple calls and emails to get him to look at it, didnt seem to care. Controlled by corporate, he said without apology. He says they have the right to increase every 30 days by the contract if thy want. Look out folks! Good deals are not always good deals. Now unless I move my sisters-in-law again she is paying way more than she can afford."

"You fail to give full disclosure of the cost of the rental unit
When you quote the rental prices you need to also mention: 1. there is a required insurance fee or that 2. you may provide proof of insurance to avoid the monthly insurance fee. By requiring the insurance fee you are in reality increasing the cost of the rental.
You need to have full disclosure as a corporate policy. By not during so you place your managers in an difficult position of explaining the "undisclosed" costs."

"i've signed up for automatic payment but i'm not sure how to get a receipt from my monthly payments. It is not easy to find on the site. having it emailed to me or being able to get one from one of the tabs on the site would make it much easier. "
"I was promised a free moving truck. Once I was ready to move in, they stated the moving truck was moved to another location. I was also due a credit of $110 by the storage location, but they are failing to reimburse me for the extra charge. I was promised the credit by the area manager. I'm very upset by these 2 issues. I witnessed Amber treating customers very poorly each time I have gone to the property. She isn't a customer friendly individual and seems very unprofessional at times."

"There were little thiings that were present before, that no longer apply and for no reason, in my opinion. The Conference Room was available to all, if not reserved. Now, I was told that it's only available to management, who are NEVER there. What's the point?? There were also, trash cans by all entrances. Now, there are none and trash has been present every time I have come to my unit. The last 3 times I have arrived, there is no AC on my 3rd floor units. Very disappointed w new management and am thinking of moving my 2 units, if improvement is not done soon. "
