"The manager (Michael, I believe) needs to get off his high horse. For some reason, the guy liked to mess with me almost every time I came once I started moving my things out and he knew I was leaving. Within minutes of me parking in front of my unit to load up my vehicle, he’d come riding around on his little golf cart and make up some reason as to why I needed to move my Jeep. It got to the point where I’d just leave my vehicle running because I knew he was going to tell me to move. It was pretty pathetic. 😁"
"The facility is well maintained and they keep it clean. My only complaint is that they raised my rates from $95/month to $151/month over a three year period. It seems like once you are there they know it's a pain for you to move so they have no problem jacking up the rates versus when you are just signing up they keep the rates low. Seems a bit predatory."
"Life Storage was a no-fuss experience. The facility was clean and safe. My unit was in the climate controlled area, and the temperature only slightly fluctuated between the seasons. I stored my stuff with them for a little under 4 years, and there were NO bugs.
Vacating was very easy, which was much appreciated. Just went down to the office after getting all my stuff out and took the lock out. Didn't take more than 5 minutes in the office to finish the vacate."

When I went to unit to move in it was hot and humid, even though it was an inside, climate controlled unit - I do not consider maintaining a temperature of between 50-80 degrees climate controlled! Even with an inside, climate controlled unit, they suggested using damp rid due to humidity."

First thing if you are using a full size truck and any trailer over 12' long you have to get out to put in gate code. One would also need to be a good driver if pulling a 20' trailer tight areas and the way the terrain is makes it hard to pull out of the way while loading or unloading."

After 10 years of on time or early payments, I missed a notice of increase and received a call that my monthly payment was short.
I immediately remedied the TWENTY-TWO dollar shortage by pre-paying my next month with the shortfall added. When I called to confirm I'd remedied the shortage, I was told if the payment (already "in the mail) wasn't received by 6/5, that I would incur a late fee. Since my bank couldn't guarantee delivery, I had to pay via credit card. GEE, THANKS AFTER 10 YEARS of early payments. Beware of the "you can pay on line: option too... the system will only except full payments, so if you make a mistake,.... to bad.
I would be embarrassed to inconvenience a customer of over 10 years - the appropriate response would have been "I see you've been an early payer for over 10 years, I'll make a note that your new payment is on it's way".

After 10 years of on time or early payments, I missed a notice of fee increase. When I received a call about it, I immediately remedied the situation by paying my next month's rent early and adding the whopping $22 shortfall.
When I spoke to the office to confirm I'd taken care of the shortfall, I was told that if my already generated payment wasn't received by 6/5, I would be charged a late fee. Since the check was already in process and the bank can't guarantee receipt before 6/5, I had to separately pay the $22.
Hmmm.... let's do the math "well, thank you for noticing and taking care of this, but if it doesn't get here by 6/5, we'll charge you a late fee"
