"Go to the unit if you want your belongings stolen. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. My unit was broken into, some THEIF undid the lock. They got a knife and cut through my boxes and emptied out all my storage containers and stole my belongings.
the criminals left so much evidence at the scene including the knife, which could've hurt me. They will be caught because of this. This storage unit is unsafe and is not doing anything to protect you or your belongings."

"The storage spaces are reasonably priced for being climate controlled, and the rental process and facility access are easy and straightforward. But they don't seem to be particularly concerned with fixing issues in a timely manner such as malfunctioning doors despite charging based on distance to the nearest door, though they did eventually correct that particular example. Carts can also go completely missing for extended periods of time without being replaced. Nor do they seem to make much of an attempt to keep the hallways clean of debris. They literally leave behind locks they've cut during evictions on the floor for instance."

"So my daughter, trying to do a nice thing, came home late Saturday and told me she rented a unit here and I had already rented one elsewhere. I was frustrated she would be out money but she said she went ahead and did it because the guy told her it was no hassle this and that, the first month was free and she rented a 5x10, inside on the 2nd floor and paid like $15 for a lock. In total she left there paying them $54.93 on Saturday and then today, Monday I went up there to help her cancel it because we need one on the first floor and drive up access and the guy who was there (she thinks the owner) came out and asked what we needed because he was going to lock the door to go show the guy in front of us a unit. I told him she needed to cancel and he asked the guy to wait a moment, it wouldn't take long and pulled something up on a pad for her to sign saying she was vacating it today (which she never put anything in it, just the lock on it when he took her to it) and then he kind of walked off w/o any further explanations. We ended up running into him on the 2nd floor and I asked him if she would be getting her money back and he said no, it was outside 24 hours. He then walked off, again not staying to answer any questions. It was quite aggravating and I am pretty sure he just didn't want to say "no, we screwed your young 18 year old out of almost $60" in front of a customer he was trying to rent to. If I could give them zero stars I would because it was a total rip off... he could have at least offered to refund the lock that never left the property. I am glad we decided not to go with them and I hope this review helps the next person who believe it is a risk free transaction. Don't be a sucker and give them your money.... they don't care about the current sucker... just the next one. I can see them arguing to keep the $25 fee she was charged, although its ridiculous since they will not have to clean it or anything (NEVER USED), but they should have offered her something back. BEWARE... A DOLLAR IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN DECENY to this business."

"I want to make others aware that this facility is not secure. My storage unit was broken into and although I paid for required insurance the insurance Co refused to pay. I had some very personal non replaceable family items among other things totaling over 2 thousand dollars.
The security cameras are not working and it took several days before they noticed my unit damaged. Beware of this company and buy your own insurance as well this facility is not secure!"

"I have stored at this facility for 5 years on and off, been in and out and moved into and out of multiple units of different sizes. I have always had such a great experience here. The current manager Nicky is awesome. She has been so helpful to me and provided such great service. I keep telling her I need her to work there for 10 more years so I can know she's gonna be there! I've really never had any problems at the facility, so I have zero that I can complain about. I haven't had my rent increased at all. It's also very clean and safe."
"Not very military friendly. my recently widowed daughter had her military orders adjusted and had to deploy sooner than had planned. Leaving her infant behind she had to rustle her stuff into storage.
As her mom I tried to help bed i could. I found this storage because it was close to home.
She set her account up only 3 weeks before deployment so she forgot to send in her docs to support her deployment.
I got a call around the holidays and called back. Spoke to a male who said he could not make decisions to waive the late fee so i could pay it and to call back to speak to the female who could make that decision. I also have a voicemail stating the the male said the female manager said that's she would waive the fee. So today i call to pay because I'd called before and no answer (presuming they were helping other customers). I called again to get this taken care of and today the female answers and says she as the manager has to ask the ASST manager about the fee because she knows NOTHING about what we discussed. She said she had to speak with him as he's right out side. She returns to say they can't waive the fee and that they didn't get what they needed as far as docs and i told her i had emailed them and someone acknowledged receipt. Now agitated, I ask why would he leave me a message that the fee would be waived and he also received the orders from me via email to NOW say we can't waive the fee??
I guess they know not too many people will come pull there stuff out of storage due to this sort of service.
She repeatedly tried to console me with we don't auction stuff for soldiers on orders BUT you charge the fees you said you would waive. If this were normal circumstances I would understand but as an Army Vet myself I would not recommend THIS particular Lifes storage. go to the one up the street if they r individually owned and operated. if it's a chain go to another chain of storage!"
"I have to say that when Life Storage took over this facility, that was the third change in ownership that we had gone through. With every change there is always a learning curve between renter and manager.
Fortunately the learning curve did not take too long. I think Nicky, the manager, tries her best to keep things running as smoothly as possible. If there's a problem, she makes it right. She answers any question satisfactory. She keeps the facility clean, which is difficult here because of the constant wind blowing dust into the walkways and units.
Her assistants likewise are friendly and easy to work with."

"terrible business practices. horrible customer service. this specific storage facility has changed names recently but is the same owner. managers change almost every quarter, or more often.
they are super quick to put a red lock on your unit but very lax in removing them. a manager said "i could apologize but we cannot give any credit towards rent", so never actually apologized. also tried to say it wasnt her fault because she was gone for 4 days n just got back, but we paid 7 days before that. so the staff is incompetent as well as management.
they have video surveillance but have had all their carts stolen and refuse to replace them. access til 10pm means leave out of the gate by 959pm or get trapped. they raised the monthly rent by 5% within 2 months which i suspect is intentional because my initial rate was 100.90 then was raised to a flat 105.00. over the years they always raise rates for jan 1st, but this bait n switch increase right after moving in is new.
also: the required insurance is impossible to get claims approved and pretty much only covers an apocalypse, nothing that actually happens like water damage or insect/rodent damage."

She explained everything to me and when I forgot to fill out my Rapid Rental information on-line she was nice enough to give me a call and told me to do it before coming in to pay for the rental.
