"The manager for this location and the Lauren’s Rd location is beyond rude and just miserable. She does not deserve a management position. She does not exemplify management material because she’s not a good representation of one. I understand the staff shortages so anything goes. I came to this particular storage facility on 5/12/23. I had reserved a unit and was coming for a walk through. No one was there and it was a thirty minute wait which was fine. Again staff shortages. When the manager pulled up she was already miserable and showing signs of aggression. My child had the car door open and was hanging out. She sped in with disregard for a child. Still I wanted to giver her the benefit of the doubt. I walked in right behind the manager because I was pulled up to the door. I didn’t have to go far. Besides I was the only one there. Instead of greeting me. The manager began to make phone calls confirming reservations. I laughed to myself. Like is she serious? Because I literally walked in right behind her. When she hung up from the call. Still at this moment I was trying to be patient. There was a pause. I waited to be greeted. To no avail. So I asked her. “Are you going to greet me?” She proceeded to say “Give me a second!” Not doing anything. I believe it was a sense of control for her. Wow! I couldn’t believe it. It was all with malicious intentions. She wasn’t busy. She had no other customers. I told her she was being a b!£{#. Which was a true statement. I hadn’t done anything to this woman. She then walked towards me in a aggressive manor telling me to get out of her store while threatening to call 911. She was the aggressor. I said as a black person this is the way some people try to control us when we’ve done nothing wrong because they know the division of people of color (mostly back!) and Police officers. Which for me. I’m well rounded to know most uniforms are not a threat to me. For the most part I see them as protection. I’m not going to have that mindset. At the same time, I’m well aware that there are bad, and evil people that just so happen to be in positions that they shouldn’t be in. Just as this manager at Life Storage. She obviously hates her job and hates her life. With that being said I immediately left. But I made the manager aware that I was filing a complaint. I’m sure she beat me to it because she knew she was wrong. Needless to say her manager I guess did call me back but he defended her behavior as saying people are going through things. He wasn’t concerned. He only made excuses and tried to gaslight me. That’s why she feels comfortable to act the way she does. I told him to view the camera. From the moment she recklessly pulled in to the parking spot."
