"I choose this storage unit after doing some long reviews. At 1st, everything went well. I applied and reserved online. Got my price. Went in to complete in person. Was alittle surprised that my online quote was different after finalizing the in-person paperwork. Online, it did not state that insurance needed to also be added. So my price went from $141, to $178. I wasn't too happy, but they stated it was mandatory. Move in was good. No complications. I asked at that time , was this my final cost, or will there be any changes? I was assured that, this was the cost of the unit, and no other changes would be had to the unit for as long as I have it. Low and behold, 5 months into my rental, I received a notice that my storage unit will be going up on the 6th month to almost $27 additional. I immediately call the storage company and no one answered. I tried to email, and it bounced back that emails are not allowed. I waited until the next business day, finally got to speak with someone. I explained, the issue I was having with receiving the letter of a substantial price change and wanted to know why it was happening. I explained, how I was assured upon enrolling that my storage unit price would not change. And the lady explained, that they do checks of other storage units, to see what their price are and based on other storage units pricing in the area, they may go up on pricing on customers to price match other companies. I asked her, what sense does that make? If you agreed on a certain price for a storage unit, that should be the price. I explained that, that seems like a bait and switch. It's not an honest move, and customers should be given this information upfront. Because had I known this, I would not have choose their company. And she also, went on to state that this practice could be done every 6 months or a year. I informed her that I will be moving out before the new price change, because almost $30/$60 additional, whether every 6 months or a year was not something I budgeted for or was informed of prior. I would not recommend, because of the dishonesty and or not disclosing this information upfront. This situation was a inconvenience, because 6 months later, I had to find a new storage, and move my items all over again. Bad for business. I don't care for the inconvenience because, I will not stick with a company who is not honest."

Unfortunately I cannot give 5 stars because she was extremely rude and kept saying "oh here's e spot for the rv" when we specifically said over the phone and upon arrival at the storage unit it's a camper.its have a 25ft camper and the spot we got was too difficult to back the trailer into. Luckily the manager Tom frawley, was able to help us.

"Worst experience I have ever had I do not recommend anybody going to Life Storage in Belleville New Jersey. now let me explain.
I had called Life Storage in another area of New Jersey and they had given me a price which was within my budget a little too far to go and I found life storage and Belleville which is very close to where I live.
I called there to find out how to get there and the lady told me how to get there and when I went there she showed me the room but when I came down to the price she basically bent me over backwards about $300 more there in Belleville than it was when I had called the other Storage Center. she told me that she could not adjust the price that the prices are set by the company and I had to wait till Thursday to come in or call the manager that he was out at another life storage working.
Well she had called him and he had called her back and a couple of my questions were answered but again she told me I had to call or come in on Thursday afternoon that he might be able do something with the price. I found out what Life Storage he was working at and called him there and he told me that different areas have different prices and there was nothing he could do for me. he was very nice and helpful but the lady there that took care of me in Belleville was very unprofessional and rude. She seemed to have an attitude problem. she basically pushed me away from there.
I would not recommend Life Storage in Belleville to anybody there are other storage centers around here that are reasonable a competitor to Life Storage in probably closer and easier to get to than at Belleville.
I'll find some other storage center to work with me within my reasonable budget thank you for reading this and if you decide to trust storage room I would get a second opinion from another facility thank you"
