A 10x20 storage space is the size of 2-3 Bedrooms. It holds furnishings and appliances for an average 1500 sq. ft. residence. It can also hold compact vehicles depending on width and length.

It's everything my husband and I own, so you can imagine how devastating that is. We have reached out to the company 15 times over the last few weeks with zero response and when I found water in our unit today, Cheryl told me to get paper towels and that's all she can offer as help. Are you kidding? I am a positive person and never leave negative reviews, but for the sake of the reader and their belongings, this place is NOT worth it and they will not be of any help at all. Cheryl and Danielle both said they had never heard of anyone but us complaining of mold, but I've connected with a couple of other people who had this problem even before I moved in so they clearly knew of other people!! Insane. Lies and neglect is how they operate their business. Mark, the area manager also yelled at my mom when she called to warn him about the health concern that their employees are breathing. "I could not recommend the facility to an enemy! They have mold all over the unit and I was not the only person moving out with the problem, I was not an isolated incident. My belongings were in a floor unit for less than two months and are covered in mold! The manager Cheryl admitted she cannot control the mold on the first floor and she was aware people moved out but didn’t think to mention it. It is all over the walls and ceiling! The owner claims that they are not responsible because the unit was clean when then gave it to me. Two separate moving companies stated they have moved people out of this facility recently due to mold! It is a scam! Anyone can wipe down metal right before someone looks in it, that doesn’t mean the mold spores were properly removed. The insurance is a joke and the management has been so disrespectful. There are too many other storage units in town to waste your time or money here. I have never left a review in my life but I truly feel compelled to warn people about this company/location."

"My daughter and son-in-law had a unit here for almost a year. They had a devastating flood at their home in Youngsville in January, 2019. What they were able to salvage was placed in storage here. Well, they go to get their items this week because their home was finally ready to move back in and guess what? Everything and I mean everything in their unit was covered in mold and mildew. The office told them that during the course of a substantial storm during the summer, the double doors to the facility kept blowing open. They wanted to lock the doors to prevent wind-driven rain from entering the facility but either the owner or corporate advised them not to do so. Further, none of the renters was notified about what happened so they could come and check on their contents and move if necessary which would definitely have mitigated further damage. Maybe Life Storage was afraid of losing customers? Even though Life Storage requires rental insurance, which the kids did have, the $3,000 in coverage doesn't begin to replace what was damaged and had to be thrown out. My daughter and son-in-law were not the only renters that were affected either. Now THEY HAVE NOTHING.....most everything had to be tossed. They are effectively starting over from scratch. And guess what? Life Storage accepts NO liability even though they failed to secure their facility during a storm. What a great, safe indoor, climate controlled facility NOT!
