I was looking for a location nearby and one that was competitively priced. "My first phone call was taken by a customer service representative and unfortunately I was not told my unit had an obstruction (cement pillar) in the middle of it. The rep also explained I could get a discount using a "truck" from the property. The rep stated all I needed to do was within 14 days of renting the unit let them know what date I would need the "truck." When I first visited the unit and found the obstruction I went into the office to speak to the person on-site (different than whom I spoke with initially). The women in the store was Mary Anne. She was extremely professional, helpful and offered to discuss ways we could work together to better my experience. She took the time to explain the use of the property's "van"...it is not a truck as I was first told. She found a unit, bigger than the one I rented initially for only a $4 dollars more a month and transferred me without a hitch. She did all this, even came to ensure I could get into my new unit, all while pushing her lunch break back a half hour to me, the customer, first. Thank you to Mary Anne."

I was told that the only thing needed to close the unit was to call in and let them know, so I did exactly that. When I rented the unit no one had told me that the actual physical lock was mine to keep just as no one told me the lock needed to be off before I could walk away from the unit. Found out quickly after they charged me. FYI I was asked for a review of this location before I even rented the space out - glad I waited because not happy about the miscommunication on their end. Maybe a general move-out procedure would have been nice to include? I will not be using this location again."

There are no challenges associated with unloading and loading in the facility. We had no issues that we might encounter at another storage facility. "Walked into Life Storage in Naperville and was immediately impressed by the facilities. Within 10 minutes I was ready to enroll with them. What made the decision easier was that Ginger was very friendly and knowledgeable. What makes this facility standout is that youre able to drive into the facility and load up on free carts that they available. Their rates are reasonable as well. For a first time customer, you can use their van to load and transport your things to the facility, for free. However, free is limited to 25 miles/6 hours but youll only pay $.89 per mile over the 25 miles which is reasonable. In addition, youll need to pick up insurance for under $20 to cover the van. They also have office facilities upstairs for small companies or solopreneurs"
