As I have downsize my storage, moved chunks of belongings out, lost my keys and needed to sort things in place, they have been very helpful, especially Jennifer.  The place was always clean, well lit and was temperature comfortable at all times.  I just moved out of my last unit to another state. "We have been customers of Life Storage in Lombard since they opened the facility in March 2017. The staff at the actual location has been great; my complaint is regarding the poor customer service received when I called in today. I've been working 16 hour days since the Tuesday after Memorial Day and wholeheartedly admit I forgot to pay our storage bills until late last night. When I signed in to one of our two accounts, I couldn't do anything because the account "was being updated". When I tried to sign in today around 1pm, I could get in but was charged a late fee on both accounts. I called to talk to customer service to see if they could do anything about our late fees and then to make my payment. I told the girl on the phone (I don't remember her name) that I couldn't do anything with the account because of the error message. She immediately seemed to doubt what I was saying and seemed annoyed. She said she had to call the IT department to check what happened. I said please do that then because I only have 16 minutes before I was heading into an appointment at 2:30 pm. Instead of putting me on hold, the girl hung up on me. She didn't say "Let me look into that and I'll call you back" or anything like it. She just HUNG UP. I called back multiple times and got a recorded message so I left a vm. She called back at 2:25 pm and said "I had to call IT and that message auto-generates between midnight and 6am so I cannot do anything about the fees". No apology for hanging up. No consideration for being a multiple unit customer for over 2 years. Nothing. Again, I understand I was technically late, but I still expect to be be treated with respect and consideration as a customer. Not receive an annoyed tone. Not hung up on (and then not receive an apology). And not receive some consideration for being a longtime customer. Maybe we could pay a discounted fee? Maybe only 1 fee instead of 2? Something to show our business is valued. It's not like we are late all the time. I think we have only been late 1 time before, and we paid the fee because I totally missed the date. The fact they didn't post this review on their own page just adds to the poor service. I'm very disappointed in their customer service and am sad to now be looking for another storage facility."

I appreciate the access process. Having flatbed carts readily available is a major plus. Being able to use the van to move items to my storage unit is a huge advantage. This location is only 9/10ths of a mile from my home, so it's extremely convenient. Everything about my experience thus far has been way above my expectations."
