A 5x5 storage space is the size of a small walk-in closet. It holds one piece of furniture with a narrow footprint, tall narrow items like lamps, and 6-8 boxes.
A 10x20 storage space is the size of 2-3 Bedrooms. It holds furnishings and appliances for an average 1500 sq. ft. residence. It can also hold compact vehicles depending on width and length.

I’ve dealt with different storage companies and every time I’m pretty satisfied - but never enough to actually make sure the internet knows that these guys are the best! They’re welcoming, friendly, have great senses of humor, knowledgeable, honest, and most importantly they’re kind. They don’t treat you like you’re a number in their system or someone who NEEDS this bigger unit to accommodate all your stuff - they’re realistic and patient while you debate if you need the extra space or can go down a size.

"My fiance and I have stored at this facility for almost 3 years. Recently, to our dismay, Raceway Storage was bought out by the bigger company Life Storage. We had experienced great customer service, secure units and property, and overall satisfaction with the previous owners. Once the facility transitioned to the new owners, we started experiencing countless issues. First, rhe gates out front were left damaged for upwards of a month at a time leaving our units exposed 24 hours a day with zero on site security. Countless units were robbed so I began coming to manually shit the gates on my own time at closing each day to deter thieves from entering the property. Needless to say the company and employees were thankless despite my doing the job for free that I paid them for each month. The lease and thier website advertising thier units stated that they guaranteed top of the line security and password secured gates as well as individual alarms on the units. The gates in reality were almost never secured because they wouldn't maintenence them And they left the exit gate open during business hours which was not promised in the agreement I signed for my units. I rented 3 units that cost just about $1000.00 monthly. I was beyond frustrated that the high cost of my storage with them was for services they weren't even providing so I made humerus complaints to the office and also to cooperate. Those complaints weren't met with resolving the problems, which the company owed me per the lease agreement they drafted and had me sign. In fact they began writing me "rule violations " for every tiny thing they could come up with and eventually told me I was having my lease terminated and being evicted. They gave me 5 days to empty 3 xl units and they did this a day following accepting payment for my units which is completely illegal. They cannot have notice for you to be out until after the last month's rent paid in full. So they weren't able to evict for another 30 days after accepting my payment but they broke those rules, made threats to lock us out, and despite our moving out in a timely mannor; finally called the police claiming we were trespassing and tried to have us removed by force. This ploy didn't go in their favor because it was illegal but the complete unprofessional and disrespectful not to mention unlawful behavior was unbelievable. We had spoken to one employee and he yoldbus that he was appaled by the behavior ands practices he was expected to inforce and he put in his notice and left the company after offering an apology to for the way we were treated.
And we moved out a week and a half into the month we had alreadybpaid in full for our units and they refused to pay the prorated difference for the units even though they had agreed to that term when informing us we had to leave. This company is shady and doesn't have any care for your valuables or respect for thier paying customers.
I would never recommend this company. Rent at your own risk."

"Called all day no answer, i purchased a unit at auction and drove a uhaul which im paying by milage and gas for not to mention had 2 workers with me and get to location and sign says only open from noon to 3pm. I arrived at 230pm and no one was there. Drove to next nearest location where I met Cheyanna the "manager" who just came from the closed location. When I asked why she closed early (before the sign said) she lies and says she called everyone to let them know they closed early. I asked why she lieing because I never got a call or message she tells me to leave or will call police. I've put in a formal complaint with corporate and her "actual" boss Greg since she tried to claim she is the head honcho of all stores in WA and she don't have a supervisor she is the supervisor. Terrible customer service and bad attitude employees"

"I had no problem getting the storage space rented and set up. I felt that the guy helping me was a bit unprofessional and not efficient, but he was clearly training so I went with it and we had a nice experience.
One month later, That same young man is who I dealt with when I left my keys there (I called as soon as I realized I left them and he collected them and put them in the office for me so I could pick them up).
After calling and coming in multiple times to pick them up to avail, I was berated by him. I was told he had 'too many other people to deal with to deal with my problem'. (I was there when they opened and was the only customer present). He said it was my 'fault they were gone' and that I was 'shit out of luck'. His 'managers would tell me the same thing and they'd be more blunt'. He said someone else probably took them or gave them away. I was told I was being mean; he condescendingly called me honey and ma'am. He admitted at one point that he gave my keys to someone else and told me he had already told me that a week ago. And once his manager was called and I explained how I was being handled, he threw a fit and started slamming things and throwing toilet paper rolls around in the back of the office. His manager kindly asked me to leave, saying she would come in and help find them and contact me. I never heard from anyone again.
the facility is nice, secure, clean. The rental process is easy and closure was a breeze.
I will never do business with this facility again. I am blown away at the unprofessional behavior, and irresponsible way they handled my left behind keys. They didn't ask for a description or name, and he was down right angry at me for asking why he handled it that way."

"Was originally planning to rent a storage in Maple Valley. But the one that I wanted to go to was full. There was one that has a lot of bad reviews. I found another one but they wanted to charge 50% than the other two places. So I extended my search to Covington and found Life Storage. It is kind of hidden behind Home Depot. Alicia and a manager, were the ones who helped me to get signed up. Both were super nice & helpful. This facility is new (or at least it seems like it). It is super clean. It seems very secure too with the multiple layers of security to get to your unit. I was originally concerned f renting a unit on the second floor. To my surprise, they have 3 huge elevators and have carts available that you can haul your items to your storage units. They also have this covered area where you can park your vehicle and unload right outside the door. Good for when it is raining."
