This is a six month update. I have been renting storage facilities in Austin for at least 15 years. It all boils down to management and Mr. Salgado is the best so far. James Salgado has this place in tiptop shape. It is clean, safe, has carts available for customers, and most importantly he has been there on the job when needed. Congratulations to Life Storage for hiring such a good manager. So far so good. The facility is cleaner and better kept than it was under previous ownership. Security is better and is good. Elevators work great. There’s almost always a cart available . Air Conditioning is excellent. With that said, the most important part of any business Are the personnel. They have been courteous and responsive and there is almost always someone in the office. Prior ownership it was very difficult to find anyone to talk to about anything but that is much improved.

Not a super bad experience here, but not the best either. Upon move in, noticed live house roaches outside our unit (not the outdoor tree roaches). Rent was raised 76% just 2 months after move in. Hard to get carts. Hard to get in off of airport blvd. Limited parking and space. Decided to move out and go elsewhere.
