First, let me say that this is not a reflection of the staff of LifeStorage. Every employee I have interacted with has been very personable and professional. This is more of a review of the continuous rate increases for the unit I rented. From my initial contract to the day I emptied my unit, my rent had tripled. I went from paying about $1000 annually to over $3300 annually in a period of four years. It’s actually cheaper for me to have AC installed in my garage instead of continuing my rent there. Also, as I was removing my belongings I noticed that two of my boxes had holes chewed in them. In the end, it’s up to you. The staff are great, the grounds appear secure, but your costs will skyrocket very quickly.
