"Had a storage here for about a year and had zero problems! The process to get a storage online was very quick and easy. I didn't have to go in person at all. All the information was emailed to me and they even had a lock waiting for me inside the storage. Accessing the storage before and after office hours was really simple and easy. The closing process only took a few minutes, which I did that one in the office. If I need a storage in the future, I would definitely go back to Life Storage!"
"Great Place to rent a room. I have been renting a store room from this facility for about 3 years and have had a very pleasant experience every time I go to make my monthly rent payment. The front office staff have always been very nice, friendly and professional. Recently I had a problem concerning entry to me room so I submitted a formal complaint. Within 24 hours Sandy Riley, who is The Life Storage Area Manager called me and resolved the problem to my satisfaction. The is a good example of higher management getting involved and immediately resolving the problem, Great Management. I would highly recommend Life Storage to anyone looking to rent a room to store their belongings."
"I would not recommend this place. The check in person insisted that the only available unit was more expensive than the one I reserved. After I declined and started to leave the one I reserved magically popped up. Then there is this whole mandatory insurance thing. The website clearly states insurance is available but not required. Unfortunately renting the day before a holiday when everything else was closed forced me to rent the space. I will be calling the corporate office on Monday to file a complaint."

I currently have a storage at the location on wurzbach but I'm glad I chose to stop at this location for packing supplies. I'm glad I chose life storage . "I did my due diligence to find a place that I can rent online and NOT have to pay for insurance, I am putting just little extras from the house in there nothing of any real value. I wanted to be able to order it online and just show up and get in. That was not the case. When I get there I need to get in the door and had to wait 20 min behind a lady who was apparently getting everything all set up from the beginning. THE WHOLE POINT OF ORDERING ONLINE WAS TO SKIP THE LINE!!!!! That did not happen at all.
Finally got the door open and head to my spot. I open the door and as soon as you step INSIDE the space, there is a puddle of water. THE WHOLE POINT OF STORAGE is to protect your stuff from the elements. I can just cove my stuff with a tarp in the back yard if that is the case. I go back to the office and tell them they set me up with rained out space.
Her answer to me was, "we'll, it has been raining." I was blown away. Yes it has been raining, but if you are selling storage spaces that get RAIN in them you will do doubt get mold and mildew on your stored items and they seem to think that is just supposed to happen when it rains. WOW!
She said she can move me to a different unit, this is when the insurance upsell begins. Again the whole reason I went with this company was the price and the fact that the web site said insurance was not required. I was able to place the order online and do all everything that I needed to until I came into the location, that's when they say they can not move me into another unit unless I pay for insurance. When I explained that the web site clearly said other wise she said (and sounded proud of the fact) this location get broken into a lot, you HAVE TO have insurance to be here.
I asked her to get me into a unit that I paid for, no upsells and she said she wouldn't. I then asked for a refund and I was asked to sign something she called a notice to vacate which was odd because I never took possession of any property at all, she did not in fact give me a refund, I have a prepaid credit card and when refunds are made they are put back on the card instantly. This didn't happen. Now I have my family vehicle full and no place to put it. I have to wait to see if the money is actually returned in DAYS as she said it would be.
Lying to your customers on the web site is terrible. Having them pay for services that you don't really intend to provide is even worse. Having them fill their vehicle come down to your location and then telling them unless they pay more you can just leave and we will hang on to your money for a while, well, that is just the worst. I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND YOU NEVER DEAL WITH THESE PEOLPE - EVER!"

"Back then I used this storage place but the name was called Bob's Storage and they must of sold it to this place and they made it more modern with claimant control in which there was none back then and in which is alot better for your furniture, picture or anything that could get damaged by the outside weather climate(humidity,hot,cold) and so further will damage your furniture or pictures as well, and they gave me a great price on the storage unit I picked and also comes with one month free as well, so give them a try and you will like them, like I do and the crew is very helpful in many ways to assist you as well, God BLESS you all..."
"The only problem I had at the beginning was that they only have one flatbed dolly then I get a phone call from one of the manager telling me that I need to remove my lock becuase I had said that I was going to empty out my unit and my lock was still on. I call them back and no answer so I went to the office just for them to tell me they they got the units # mixed up. Finely after that I empty my unit and the manager was like you need to make sure the unit is in good condition and clean and no damage I said really. Only two people working there manager and assistant manager and not to friendly would I ever use them nope I went to other life Storage locations and they are all the same and to dam pricey"
"DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!!
We rented a spot to park our camper at this facility. One afternoon I got a call from the manager of the facility asking if we picked up our camper. It turns out that our camper was "STOLEN' when she went on vacation. The so-called lighting, security, and surveillance cameras that they advertise about were nowhere to be found when we needed them. All this company’s management could tell me is that they could not see anything on the cameras and to contact our insurance company.
My first encounter with this company was when I went in to fill out the application to rent a spot to park our camper. During this time, a very frustrated female was in the office stating that someone had broken into her storage unit. I should have taken this as a hint and went elsewhere, and my family would probably still have our little camper that we worked so hard to purchase."
"I work for a very reputable long distance moving company. We as a company have been a+ rated with the bbb for 18 years my crew was at this location today and were accosted by the so called manager we were doing a couple of things that were against life storage policy. Rather than simply ask us to correct the issue she came up yelling and screaming like a lunatic at my crew of three men. Never in my life have I ever been witness to someone in a position of management act so unprofessional"
"This place is decently priced. I feel like made a good choice with this location EXCEPT for the uneven roads. It's literally like driving over a bunch of uneven speed bumps. If you have a small car be careful!
If your stacking up a truck make sure you tie everything securely because you WILL be rocking back and forth driving in and out."
"What started off as a great experience ended up turning horrible. At the very least, 'Customer Care' and the other office I dialed a few days later (last 4- 0480) are nowhere near on the same page.
I called Friday, 29 May, and spoke to an individual (don't remember the name, but was a female voice with a strong north-east accent) and informed her that I need a place to store my car for a year. She told me it's no problem, the units are not climate-controlled (preferred, but not a deal-breaker to me), and that I just need to complete the online registration to confirm my unit. Even gave me the special which was one month free. No problems so far...
I go to the online registration to complete on Monday and, when the form asked if I'm storing a vehicle here, I checked yes and got an error that this unit is not for vehicle storage. Weird, but figured I'd call the company and get it sorted out. Still not a big deal to me.
Called Monday and no answer, called again this morning using that -0480 number and spoke to a different individual who informed me the unit doesn't have a high ceiling - still not a big deal since I have a car with plenty of clearance anyways. The problem was when she told me I am supposed to come into their office in-person to give a copy of title and registration, as well as pay taxes on the unit since I'm storing my vehicle there. I asked why wasn't I told this earlier and she said 'Customer Care usually doesn't divulge all information up front.' ....is that because they don't know about all the details? Are they hiding those details? Either way, in response, I asked her to cancel my reservation.
In all honesty, I probably would have still rented here had all of this information been given up front. Now that I think about it, I imagine any storage unit housing a vehicle would need to be taxed if it's a state/local law (though I'm still going to do some research on this). But the fact that it's all last-minute knowledge and comes only as a surprise to me, as the customer?
I will say the attitudes of both individuals I talked to were at least civil and professional. But that's about the only positive part of this experience."

"I would give this place zero stars if it let me. I moved out of my unit on 6/29. I even gave the office notice. They charged me anyways at the beginning of July. I called about 6-7 times to get my money refunded and every time I called they said I would have the money in 24-48 hrs and I would get several excuses. Finally after 3 weeks I got my refund. I would never use this place again."

They told us that the infestation was due to a tenant a few spots down that had peppermint candies inside the space that attracted the rats... Now we have to dispose our items on our dime. Don't invest on pest control or security cameras or a Decent gate door whom doesn't stay open all night living your belongings to the Mercy of the thief's and criminals who all ready hit that spot many many times,check police activity on the past before you rent,new RV is a no no in this place,you will be a victim,now I'm wondering is the office part of that criminal wave? They continued to charge my credit card even do I all ready removed belongings and sign paper work this people are the worst unprofessional,uncoordinated,on a dirty operation mode"
"Jeff was fast and friendly. I decided to go with a bigger unit before arriving so I called and 15 minutes later Jeff had it cleaned and ready to go and it just been vacated that morning. The unit faced east keeping it cooler because I can't afford climate controlled. Even though his moving truck was in the shop he was able to reserve one at another location. Overall good process and facility. A little rust on lock mount but otherwise clean and easily accessible unit and he even got me on autopay so I didn't forget "
"I was provided conflicting information between the telephone service and in the office. Also, upon arrival I was informed that the unit I reserved was numbered 666. I inquired about other storage units of similar size that were climate controlled, but availability didn't exist. I was shocked to hear that the unit number couldn't be changed because it had a history. Hopefully Uncle Bob's [Life Storage] can rectify this issue."
"We contacted a couple of storages that day and most were rude or not very helpful. We called Uncle Bob's and they were kind and helpful. Good prices. And they even waited for us because we had a long commute (about 3.5 hours) and got stuck in rush hour traffic and ended up a little late. "
"The only thing that bothered me was the way the aisles between the buildings designed they were irritating. The concrete was not level which caused vehicles to bottom out and to lean when parked making loading and unloading extremely difficult. The unlevelness of the grounds drove me crazy"
"I had a good stay however lighting is very poor. As a single female when I was in a rush to get out of my previous apartment I could only move while the sun was up because after the sun went down I couldn't see anything. So more lighting or light in the units would be a big help."
