A 10x20 storage space is the size of 2-3 Bedrooms. It holds furnishings and appliances for an average 1500 sq. ft. residence. It can also hold compact vehicles depending on width and length.

"Nice clean facility. I went with a friend who needed to rent a unit. It is well lit with motion sensor lights that activate before you approach the isles which makes it feel safe. The only drawback is the timing on the elevator doors. I mean, it is a FREIGHT elevator, and probably 99% of the people are moving boxes and other large items on the flatbed carts that they provide, but the elevator door does not stay open long enough for one person and cart to fully get in. Thankfully, there were two of us there so one could hold the door, but sometimes that was a challenge. It needs to stay open longer."

"BEST EMPLOYEES EVER!!!-KAITLYN & SARAH
I called at 5:00 pm thinking they were closing at 6:00 pm. Little did I know they they close at 5:00. I was 20 minutes away with a 26-ft Uhaul truck. This was was my first time and I hadn’t paid for the storage unit yet. They were already locking up and shut down the computers.
By the time I pulled in they got the system back up and despite several technical difficulties they both stayed 90 minutes after hours to so that I wouldn’t be stranded with a full truck for another day. They had even clocked out and likely weren’t getting paid during this time.
These two employees went way out of their way to ensure I was taken care of!!!
Please give these two a raise! Have never had customer service this good!!!!!"

"Signed up for a storage unit 3 or 4 months ago. Good experience signing up. Sarah was friendly and professional. Price was reasonable. However, we soon noticed that the fluorescent light fixtures in the corridor in front of the unit were flickering to a degree that made it difficult to spend any time going through our storage items. We reported this to the front desk more than once, and were told that a request had already been put in to correct this problem (which was evident in many places throughout the facility). After patiently waiting a couple of weeks, I managed to contact a manager (Carmen) who had responsibility for this store. She informed me that, due to the pandemic, it was very difficult to get the maintenance contractor to show up, as they were short of staff. Nevertheless, she promised someone would take care of this within a week or so. Nothing came of this. It is now early December and the light fixtures are no better, perhaps even worse.
It is extremely unpleasant to spend any time in the unit, leading to headaches after a short while. I would imagine this condition could affect the health of anyone with neurological problems. I understand others have complained as well, to no avail. It should not be an unreasonable customer expectation that basic light fixtures are maintained regularly and problems fixed promptly.

The facility is kept at least 80 degrees (have proof of this) in the Summer even though Sarah claims it is kept at 78. The AC was out for several months while they claimed to be replacing them. Corporate has made it impossible to speak with anyone, regardless of any number you find online, and instead of dealing with the complaints (unless it is on the BBB website), the messages go straight to the local store which is of course what the complaint is about. Once there, they skirt around the issue as well.
I feel terrible for the folks units that have been broken in to, because I highly doubt they will see any help from this company at all, even though we pay monthly insurance for the "protection."
I won't even begin to write my feelings of how greedy this company is by raising everyone's rent another $20/month directly after a pandemic begins. Really?!
Protect your belongings and money - rent elsewhere.

Today I went in and she was on her cell phone with a friend and told me that she was doing paperwork and to come back another day because she doesnt have time. When I told her that this is the second week she has an excuse she told me to leave her store or she was calling the police."
"Renters BEWARE!
I've rented a storage unit with this facility for almost two years and I was recently burglarized back in June 2019. There were two other units in this facility that were broken into during the summer (same time frame) as mine. I followed the company's protocol after a robbery in a unit and here we are almost 4 months later, I have NO answers on what happened nor did my claim to the insurance get processed.
There is something extremely shady going on at this facility. I noticed over time gates do not close, doors do not remain locked to enter the facility, and WORST of all the video surveillance they claim to have DOES NOT WORK. After my unit got broken into I asked the manager if we could see the video footage, the answer I got was NO. The claim I filed under the renter's insurance they require you have has gone no where. IT'S BEEN 4 MONTHS!

I went to pick up my golf clubs from my unit back in mid June. I got to my unit early on a Friday morning, and when I went to put my key into my cylinder lock, I noticed it would not go in. I examined the lock to see if there was any damage, and also my key to see if it was crooked. Everything looked fine, but my key would not go in. So after spending a few minutes trying to get a good handle on my lock, I was able to force my key in and unlock the cylinder lock (which they sell you btw). Once I got the door rolled up I noticed I was missing 4 speakers, a dj controller and a lot of other equipment. I couldn't speak to a facility manager at the time because they were not open yet, so I waited till they opened and came back to let them know what was going on. I followed the steps they laid out; File a police report, log missing items, fax report from police and item list to their vendor who handles claims. When the police officer got there they had mentioned to me that the facility had been burglarized recently and two other units had been forcefully broken into. Because my lock was still intact, they took it as evidence to look for prints, and we gave them a list of items that were stolen from the unit. We had asked the facility manager if we would be able to see the footage from the video surveillance, they said no. I was left to only rely on any leads the police may have and hopes to recover some of the losses from the claim I filed.
The claim process has been a nightmare. They do not respond to emails, calling them the first 4 or 5 times was difficult because they do not return calls. You have to call these people at the right time for them to respond. Finally I spoke to an agent who told me they would review the claim and get back to me. I had to follow up with them weekly for a month before the claim was sent to a manager. The manager then informed me she had to review the police report further. Again, this is week to week, it's been a slow and painful process. Finally I called the manager to get an update. She had mentioned that the claim may be rejected because there was not "forced entry" as the protection plan claims to cover. She also questioned how a cylinder lock was opened without damage because cylinder locks "are designed to not be picked". (First of all, that is a bs statement because they can be picked) They then told me that an adjuster would look more into it and I have not heard back since, there goes another week."

Your customer service was great when I needed to sign up, but when my stuff was stolen out of my unit, I got handed a sheet of paper and a brochure to deal with an insurance company that does not return phone calls or emails. And when I talk to your staff they respond with either I have nothing to do with that or I cant help you
So I pay a monthly insurance fee to your company but you cant put me in contact with a person about a claim?
Also, why have video surveillance if it doesnt work?

"Pros: It's clean and new. Cons. They have the temperature programmed High during off hours. I visited my unit and during the day it;s set to 78-85. At night, it's set (programmed) to 85. I asked the managers and they didn't feel empowered to change it. IT'S ONLY WITH THIS FACILITY. I have stayed at the other LifeStorage of Denton Tap Hwy and it was great. I am moving out end of June. If you're are paying indoor temp control, be aware that when the facility is programmed to 85 at night and it rains there is a lot of humidity in the building and in the unit. I have a second floor unit and my boxes (which are UHAUL and has a 10 year shelf life) are softening and if you have stacked boxes, they will be crushed and fallen over. I moved in April 2019. I'm moving to another place before the end of June. I've been there about 5 times since I moved my items in the storage unit. and 3 of those times, I asked them to adjust the temperature and they only do it during the day but it is reset to 85. There was a time when the temperature was 95 in the building even though their office is set to a comfortable temp of 72. P.S. Do not trust the thermostat set by the office door within the inner office entry way by the bathrooms. They set that low but take a walk and check out the other thermostat settings."

Ive always managed to be a pain in the butt and she always makes me feel like I havent been. Even with the transition of management she goes over the top to handle my mess for me.
