"Don't rent here. The worst management, the dumbest policies that don't take the customer's needs into account, and if you call them on the lies they told you to get you to sign their contract, they will tell you "Too bad for you. You signed a contract." It's a damn shame. The place is really nice looking, very clean, and conveniently located. Don't rent here."

"Instead of asking us to kindly leave the premises after 7 minutes of their closing time, they threatened us and said they called the police. We lost track of time, but their first warning was that they called the police on us. We have a storage and just finished moving our stuff in it. We are also black soooo, we’re kind of scared to just even talking to the police with everything that’s going on. So yeah that wasn’t cool at all."

"Worst experience I've ever had with this company. My unit, as well as many others, got broken into and the majority of my items were STOLEN. The maximum insurance amount they support covers up to $5K, which barely covered everything I owned. They do not have security guards on premises, nor do they have cameras inside the location. Look at the pictures to understand the gravity of what happened when I stored my items with this company. When attempting to contact the store manager, it took me a week to get a hold of him and they have been very unsympathetic to the fact that most of my belongings were stolen. The kind of damage and negligence that happened at this location is unacceptable, especially for a company who is in the business of storing and keeping your belongings safe. You can obviously tell whoever did this had a LOT of time to do the damage that they did, and none of the staff can tell me what time or day this incident occurred. I hope the same does not happen to you."

"I stored some of my belongings here for a couple of years before moving to Colorado. There is rat feces in all of my boxes that were in this storage unit, in addition to tiny beetles in all of my things. I'm surprised I haven't found a dead rat yet. I've probably found about 100 beetles since unpacking earlier this week, and keep finding more and more each day. I would not recommend this Life Storage unit and will not be using Life Storage again!"

"My experience w.Life Storage began very nicely. I hada service dog w.me and Susan S. and another employee kept saying how beautiful my service dog was. I was never told she could not come on the property til after the 3rd, month of service there. Thenon one day after work I noticed a man w.a brown van dealing drugs on the premises. Then on other days I noticed customers were sleeping on their storage units. One man that rents from there goes into an empty unit and is using the restroom.w.the door open to the unit. This is an ongoing thing. Susan's seems to favor certain customers and us quicke to accuse others of doing these type of things on the premises. I was accused myself of living in the storage. When all I would do is go back and forth to there, to or from work and get my things needed for the day. I was harassed in a rude manner by Susan S.to vacate the property for having my service dog and sleeping on the premisses. When I was truly not doing so. Iam planning to take further action. Due to the fact that I made my payment for the month and still had til the 12th, of May, 2020. I will never refer anyone to Life Storage or this particular location:4515 South Congress Ave./ Austin, Tx.78745."

"I signed up with LIfeStorage about a year ago. A week into the month, we received an email from them telling us that we had to move out by the end of the month because they are tearing it down to build something else. They gave everyone less than month's notice and have called me every 2 days asking me when we were going to move out. We went by to pick up our stuff this weekend and they've basically disabled security on the gate, there is trash everywhere, and homeless people are walking around. The place looks like something out of the walking dead. My wife was going to go pick up the stuff while I was out of town but didn't feel comfortable. Horrible way to run a business - LifeStorage is terrible. Stay away from them as they only care about profits and not their customers."

"I truly truly wish there was an option to give zero stars for this horrible storage location. This location have been the opposite of helpful. I have had nothing but awful experiences with this company since cubesmart sold my storage unit's building to LifeStorage earlier this year. Because of the following items detailed below, I will be sure to never use life storage and have been frequently telling everybody I know to never use LifeStorage services. I am now out hundreds of dollars and had to make emergency arrangements with my workplace because LifeStorage couldn't be bothered to treat their customers with basic decency or even basic consistency. Details below in summary: 1) LifeStorage only snailmails me the notice that my storage unit is being demolished within a month by september 15th. The managers refuse to work with me and insist they don't have to call/email, and are only legally obligated to snailmail me notifications of change. They refuse to help me whatsoever. 2) Four days ago I receive an email from life storage with an attached letter letting me know that my non-existent storage unit's price is going up. This was incredibly insulting to receive after the experience I had in #1, Where lifestorage staff insisted that they don't call or email customers about changes. I was completely lied to, what else has this location lied about to its customers? 3) I am now out hundreds of dollars and had to deal with issues at work to make an emergency trip from out of state to deal with this mess. 4) over this last weekend we were randomly emailed the same notice except that the date was now changed to October 1st. Another example of the stunning lack of proper management at lifestorage and the obvious disconnect of communication between their corporate offices and this terrible location. I was just there today moving all my things in the 100+ degree heat, and came across two older women suffering the same fate as I and they had come all the way from Florida. We suspected that lifestorage withheld the information about the demolition to get all the rent money they possibly could out of their tenants before kicking them out at the 11th hour. Absolutely reprehensible."

"DO. NOT. DO. BUSINESS. HERE. When I got my unit a month ago, I was told they would be undergoing renovations in Mid October and that I would have to be out early October. I agreed to that as I only needed the space until October 1st. I just received an email out of the blue last week stating that I needed to have my stuff out by September 15th. I called to speak with them as this was not the information I received when I put my stuff into the unit. I am moving out of state and only have the ability to move the stuff on October 1st. The lady in the office (same one who sold me the space) agreed that she told me I would have the space until at least October 1st but that it was too bad, I had to have the stuff out cause "they told her everyone has to be out". She said get your stuff out or there will be an auction on September 20th. I asked her who the owner is of this location or who I can speak to in corporate and she said "I don't know who my boss is" and "I can't contact corporate, they don't talk to us, it is a whole process." I tried to call corporate, got no response, left a voicemail. I explained to the lady at the office and will explain to the corporate office (if they ever call) that I was given false information which led to me taking this space. I would have gone with a different location had I known I would have to move my belongings before actually moving. Save yourself some money and time and go anywhere else."
