A 5x5 storage space is the size of a small walk-in closet. It holds one piece of furniture with a narrow footprint, tall narrow items like lamps, and 6-8 boxes.
A 10x20 storage space is the size of 2-3 Bedrooms. It holds furnishings and appliances for an average 1500 sq. ft. residence. It can also hold compact vehicles depending on width and length.

"Our new $10k cargo trailer was stolen within 2 weeks off the vehicle lot. I discovered the theft the next day. Not the Life Storage team.
Ask about recent thefts and vandalism. Ask about what they are doing to deter thieves in response to a nationwide spike in thefts (catalytic converters, trailers).
A common access pin code is given to everyone along with a personalized one. But the personalized one never worked.
Thefts happen. We were aware. But Life Storage advertised security features that other facilities did not. Unfortunately, these were window dressing.
Finally, they called recently about overdue payment for the trailer space. Final impressions were that this Life Storage team was insensitive, clueless, and professionally lazy."

"I use this storage facility because the company I work for chose it. The gated back area where my unit is located, has many vehicles that have flat tires, windows broken, and are dilapidated. It doesn’t feel safe and is not run well. Often the gates don’t work and are left open. There are many other problems, too many to list here. I am asking the company I work for to allow me to move to a different storage facility."

"1. They issue the wrong address in your reservation, which takes you to a storage warehouse-not the office location for storage or uhaul business. Since they initiate the automated confirmation email, the fact that they provide customers the wrong address to their own facility wastes time and is unacceptable.
2. They don’t even offer to help you hook up the trailer. I’ll manage fine, but first time I’ve been to a uhaul trailer place that didn’t try to assist.
3. I reserved blankets and a dolly as well. When I arrived they said they don’t have it. If they would have called they would have saved me a big hassle-I just frickin left a uhaul place where I could have gotten that stuff. Now I have to go back.
Do NOT use this hillbilly place! Plenty of nearby professional uhaul locations-go to a real store!

"Nobody works here. It’s a building with an “open” sign, locked doors, and a “closed for lunch”. I have visited 3 times in the past 3 days and have not witnessed an employee here; only the “closed for lunch sign”. The phone is an automated loop with no option to reach a representative. This is the storage unit for you if you never ever have a question that needs to be answered. So scroll thru the website before you use this facility because if you can’t find the answer there, you are simply screwed."
"I drove 200 miles from out of town to check on my property, and can't see anything in my storage because the LIGHTS ARE OUT! And apparently they have been out for over 2 MONTHS! 😡 Totally unacceptable!!
Can't see anything in the rear of my storage, so I have to leave my property here until management decides to provide better customer service."
"Really excellent, clean facility with good access and security. The billing system is well-automated and you can control everything online, set up auto-pay, etc. making it really easy. Rates seem very reasonable compared to other options, and the facility on Garners Ferry next to Target is top notch. Very nice and professional staff, especially Mr. Jones, whom we have seen there the most."

"Arrived at 10:10 to this facility for a U-Haul rental. Was “greeted” by Greg Jones at the door. By greeted I mean he opened the door and asked what I was there for and when I told him he promptly told me that I need to call a number he mumbled under his breath while walking off and letting the door shut in my face. I was not able to come into the building due to COVID-19 concerns, which is understandable (though I was wearing a mask). Greg comes back to the door and hands me a stick note with a number on it. He proceeds to tell me that the “Lady who handles the U-Haul is not here today,” and that I need to call that number instead. Again, still no official greeting such as “ Good morning”, “Hello, how may I help you”, etc. I wasn’t aware that politeness sped up the the transmission of COVID, but apparently Greg seem to thinks so at this location because he was sure not to display any. I dialed the number on the sticky note in my car and I spoke with Erica who tells me to hold while she calls Greg in the store I just left. He begrudgingly walks out to check the box for keys then hands them over to me. “I don’t know why she called me, but here are the keys. She has me on hold so I guess she’ll call you back to tell you what you need to do.” I tell him that she has me on hold, too and he walks back into the building. Again, no “Have a nice day” or anything remotely resembling good customer service. I ask Erica who is going to give me the mileage and fuel paperwork since Greg, apparently isn’t. She says to take pictures and turn it in. I am currently awaiting to hear from the area manager. So far this experience has been very customer service deficient. Would not recommend U-Haul location or Life Storage location to anyone."
