I have used many different storage companies in many cities. I have used them for work (to store event materials) and for personal use. The quality of service and units vary greatly between companies, but also between individual locations of the same brand. The truth of the matter is that a storage facility is only as good as the person managing it. Do they value your time, your loyalty, and your piece of mind? John at Extra Space Farmingville does. He listened to what we needed, suggested units to fit our needs, and expressed true dedication in the making sure the facility was clean and safe. I have rented from units where I chose the cheapest option to save a buck. It came back to bite me when my things were not in good condition because of facility negligence. I saved money only to lose more than I saved. I have rented at places that see customers simply as an opportunity to up-sell. I have rented in units in cities where I was afraid to walk down the halls because security was so lax. You cannot assign a value to peace of mind and trust. When I am awake at night and worrying about things, it is good to know that my things are safe. It is one less worry. That piece of mind that comes with having a knowledgeable and respectful and friendly manager (John!) and having a clean and safe facility... it's refreshing. Your stuff is safe here, it won't get destroyed. And your trust is safe here... you are in good hands."
