In 2018, I moved out of my four story house and had all the contents in three separate pods. The price was astronomical, so I moved my stuff into life storage. Their pricing is INCREDIBLE. I have the largest unit available and it was half the price of what I was paying at the pod place. I have been with Life Storage which is now Extra Space Storage for five years and I cannot tell you how incredible the customer service is. ALSO, its the best pricing on the market! Carlos is the owner/ manager and I cannot tell you how professional, responsive, accommodating, friendly and helpful a person could be. I needed my gate code changed due to an emergency and reached out after hours. It was changed within seconds. Matt is also incredibly helpful. He is new and I cannot believe how quickly Carlos trained him. When I call, Matt can give me the same level of support and information Carlos can. Unlike the pod company I worked with before, there are no gimmicks, there is no haggling, there is no “feeling” like your getting a bad deal because this is large company with universal policies that cannot be changed. There are also sprinklers in every unit. So no fires. And there is also NO WAY for adjacent units to see or access your space. The entire facility is beyond pristine and is gated in. There are cameras EVERYWHERE. And you CANNOT enter the facility without your gate code. It would be IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to get into the facility and steal your stuff with their over the top security measures. At one point, I wanted to open a second unit, and I learned about all the options I had. I told them to let me know when a space adjacent to mine opened up and they IMMEDIATELY contacted me when it did. It would be IMPOSSIBLE for your stuff to go to auction without your knowledge. They DO NOT want you to incur late fees so they remind you BEFORE and make sure your always aware of next steps. One day I asked Carlos of a hypothetical scenario of what would happen if my stuff went to storage and he literally gave me a timeline and explained the entire process to me. You can pay online or you can go to a location and divide your balance over two payments. They really try to help you when you’re in a bind and do their absolute best to PREVENT you from getting a late fee UNLIKE other facilities that deliberately do not contact you. So if your two days before the grace period and you get on the phone with Carlos or Matt they will help you come up with ideas on how you can get your payment in BEFORE you incur any of the REASONABLE late fees. They have great office hours and the facility itself is accessible until 10pm (if you are a customer with a unit). My storage space is really important to me. It literally has the contents of a four story house, a salon and a photo studio. And I can’t tell you how worry-free I am. With the previous facility, I was one trailer hitch away from losing my stuff. With this place, its impossible for anyone to access your unit, its impossible for anyone to loiter in the facility itself due to the incredible security measures, its impossible for your stuff to get stolen as your face and license plate are on camera as you drive in, which is for the greater good. Carlos runs a tight ship for “the greater good” which is why I feel safe. So a minor inconvenience, such as forgetting your gate code, has a process. You have to call the help line. Confirm your identity and get a new gate code. While that may seem frustrating in the moment and take 5 minutes of your time, you quickly understand that THAT very process is what ensures EVERYONES space is safe. They also NEVER upsell you. I remember telling Carlos about the volume of bulky ikea pieces filling up my storage and he RECOMMENDED that I sell the items that are just taking up space and downsize. I know this is alot, but my LIFE is in that unit and has been for five years. There are belongings that are IRREPLACEABLE. And I feel BEYOND SAFE! Carlos and Matt are INCREDIBLE.??

I am a customer of five years with Life Storage (now extra space storage) and I am beyond thrilled with their service. Carlos and Matt are so informative and helpful! They don’t try to sell you more things. They actually try to make sure you AVOID them. SAFETY & SECURITY: The place is so safe it’s insane. It’s like Fort Knox. There is NO WAY you can get in or out without a gate code. And there is a helpline right next to the keypad of your forget it. And they have late hours so you can enter until 10pm. The convenience does not undermine the safety. It is IMPOSSIBLE for people to enter the property without being a tenant. CLEAN: it’s SO clean. I couldn’t understand why they didn’t have dumpsters until I realized what a large dumpster would attract. So it’s rodent free because there is no buffet. SOLUTION ORIENTED: Carlos and Matt go above and beyond to help you solve problems. I ask a ton of questions and they are super patient. PRICING: I have one of the largest units on the lot and their pricing is beyond affordable. And they don’t try to hit you with hidden fees. They make sure you are not paying for a unit that is too large. They make sure you’re paying on time. QUALITY: You would think a lower price compromises the safety and cleanliness of your unit, but it’s a state of the art facility. WORRY-FREE: In five years I haven’t had a single issue that would compromise the safety of my stuff. I don’t have to worry about anyone going near my space. The place is loaded with constant camera surveillance and it’s impossible for anyone to enter the facility. I don’t have to worry about missing a payment because they remind me. And when I was late one time and my unit almost went to auction, Carlos walked me through the entire process, letting me know all the dates and deadlines for fees. I just kept updating him and I paid before the fees. LATE PAYMENTS: When I have paid late, I have never felt judged. When my unit almost went to auction, they didn’t look down on me or treat me like an inconvenience. They treated me with the exact same patience, kindness and respect as they did the day I opened my unit. OVERALL: I have a lot of memories in there and it’s nice to know there is a team that does what’s right. They WANT you to get the most bang for your buck unlike every other storage facility on the planet. Carlos and Matt are THE BEST.
