"Beware of this place. Massive rat problem. My washer machine was destroyed. Flooded my brand new house and insurance company will give you a few hundred dollars. Life storage customer service will tell you that the only option you have is to take them to court. Horrible business practice and run away from this place. Reported them the bbb and was told this isn’t first complaint about this and they don’t respond to bbb anyways."

"BUYER BEWARE : There is a known major rat problem at this facility. Insurance only covers a couple hundred bucks. So don’t count on that. All the storage company can do is offer to put a rat trap. So if you do choose to rent here expect your belongings to be damaged for sure and don’t expect any help from management. Also, after a couple of months they raised the rent with no notice."

"DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS THIEVING COMPANY, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR PROPERTY! This has been the worst experience with a business that I have ever encountered. I only had my property stored with them for under three months and there was rodent hair, urine and feces completely covering the entirety of my belongings. Life Storage proceeded to tell me to do an insurance claim through their insurance company Xercor in order to recover the losses on my belongings, but in the end, they only gave me $400 for the $13,000 claim I had placed. In that same time, the insurance company (Xercor) told me not to touch anything in the unit until the claims adjuster went to check my unit. That never happened, they just sent me a check for $400 undervaluing the price of my property. When I had finally bought a hazmat suit and gas mask, because I realized that life storage wasn't going to do anything about it, I came to realize that my unit was burglarized even though my personal lock and the lock they provided were both on the unit during the time the insurance company told me not to enter my unit! How convenient for the thieves at Life Storage! I had to take the items out of storage myself, while being completely covered in rodent excrement. Not only did I lose the majority of my personal belongings like guitars, furniture, kitchenware, etc. but they also had the audacity to steal baby pictures, childhood yearbooks and personal journals, that was very disheartening. In the end, life storage told me to do another insurance claim just to get a fraction of my money back for my belongings that they destroyed, and that they allowed to get stolen, yet they still won't do anything about it! I even made a police report to get the footage but they are still "reviewing" it. To this day, Life Storage hasn't done anything to help me and my situation, they made it worse. Never do business with this company, they're crooked and will steal your property. Life Storage takes advantage of the insurance process so they can steal your belongings while the insurance claim is going through, dirty business. I would give zero stars if I could, 1 star is too generous."

"Someone, the renter across the hall, brought dog food into his unit, which brought the rats, which subsequently chased us out. Always increasing prices."

"At first everything seemed to be ok. Then the worst thing happened. RATS, RATS & more RATS! The lady in the office said one of there customers filled a unit with food. The RATS made there way to my unit and destroyed everything I had. My life was in that unit. My kids bb uniforms. Quilts I made with my mother. Beds ruined! RAT urine everywhere! Very toxic! I never saw a rat box anywhere on the property. On top of loosing everything! The insurance company they use denied my claim. I went a step further and was given a check for a little over $200. My unit was a 12 X 30 full and I lost everything. The manager gave me one months free rent but no before telling me " I don't have to do anything for you" but I will give you one month free. Upon cleaning the entire unit out I left one small empty box and they turned me over to collections. I'm not saying there all bad but this location has RATS!"

"STOLEN STORAGE FROM STORAGE WORKERS! PLEASE READ ON. My Boyfriend and I moved back to California from Las Vegas due to covid 19. I lost my job and so did my boyfriend.  We moved to my boyfriend moms house in San Francisco because I was pregnant and the baby was due in May. We put all of our items in storage. Life Storage to be exact.  We had our 3 TVs stored in an AC controlled unit because its says that excessive heat can damage large flat TVs. We work so hard to have nice things. One TV was 85 inch we paid 4,000 and two were 65's we paid over 2,000. We paid over time thru our best buy credit card. So it all started this past friday. It's much more colder so we decided to move our TVs back to the large storage we can save money instead of paying for 2 storages. My boyfriend ships the storage keys to his uncle to move the TVs to the big storage we have that is not AC controlled.  He alerts us saying the TVs are gone.  My boyfriend and I go straight to Vegas. My Boyfriend just started his new job and had to take off work. On our 8 hour drive to vegas we realized one of TVs was linked to my Boyfriend phone. He than realized that yes indeed someone using our TV. We found the IP addresses that were linked to our TVs! So we called Cox cable in vegas and told them our situation.  They kindly helped us and shared with us the adress that our TVs were when they connected to the internet.  A digital fingerprint.  We were SHOCKED when the adress was the SAME AS THE STORAGE! Cox even sent a technician out AND pinpointed the exact place where they were used. In a unit adjacent to there maintenance man garage/workshop. Cox told us there was an extension cord running to the unit. So out of my 3 TVs 2 of them were connected to the storage facility wifi and there wifi is protected. Which tells me whoever stole it knows there wifi password. ONE THING I FORGOT TO MENTION.  WHEN my boyfriend uncle checks the storage my 2 locks were still on the storage undamaged and not tampered with.. STRANGE!!!!!! I called the police and showed them the IP address and my receipts.  Where the TVs where being used. Long story short! They couldnt look in that unit because they said they belonged to someone else and they did t have access to it. I'm so heart broken and sad! Like I had all the evidence and they still could not help me. 2 cops did help and made me feel like even they knew they stole it and the TVs were in that storage. But bye Law they couldnt help me. BUT WAIT THERES MORE!!! Today I received and email from Life Storage telling me because "pursuant to the default provisions of your rental agreement " that I have till dec 25th to remove all my items for my large unit. So not only did they have something to do with my TVs missing now there kicking me out my large unit that has all of our belongings. I don't have no money to buy a uhaul and movers from Las Vegas to a bay area storage on such short notice.  I just spent the little money we did have on Christmas. We are struggling as it is and now because of this storage facility we are in this even worse situation.  We always find a way but this is beyond us. Cant believe this Christmas we got robbed and our belongings facing eviction all bye the same business.  Life storage on Spencer in Las vegas. I am not working taking care of our newborn baby and my Boyfriend the only 1 who works. Just Straight Foul!! They almost got caught!"

"We had a storage unit here for 3 years and 4 months.  $8,000 is what we spent to keep our belongings stored at Life Storage.  We started moving our things out in December.  The unit smelled a little odd when we started clearing it out, but we didn't think much of it, thinking it was dust.  Once we removed about half of our belongings we started to notice feces on the floor.  We were disgusted with what we saw.  After we cleared everything out we had the assistant manager of the storage unit come and see what was in our unit.  She was mortified.  She said she had never seen anything like that.  She gave us the phone number of the insurance company that they use.  She said that she couldn't do anything for us.  That was not what we wanted to hear so we contacted the owner of the unit.  He said we had to file a claim with the insurance company.  I explained to him that he had to try to make this right, we spent a lot of money on his unit.  He told us that he would reimburse the last month charge, $212.  Seriously? By now we had disposed of a mattress, table and love seat that were ripped and smelled like urine.  We still filed a claim with the insurance company.  After about 2 weeks we heard back from the insurance that said they won't do anything for us because they couldn't see the damaged property.  We were in the middle of moving and furniture was destroyed and had urine on it and we were supposed to store it with our other belongings?  It was bulk trash day, so we put it out with the trash.  We were not going to get exposed to any diseases by holding on to rat infested property. Now, Life Storage and Bader insurance are responsible for not keeping my belongings safe.  My storage unit was infested with rats, and they still kept all my money and did not even make an effort to replace the items that we lost.  This is the worst customer service that I have experienced.  Not even an effort to make things right.  And, who knows how many other units have this same problem???"
