"I stored all of my belongings in one of their units and got insurance on my belongings through them. When I returned a few months later, much of my belongings were moldy. The items that were safe from mold were those items that were near the door indicating that the mold was not from flooding but from another source, maybe a roof leak. I informed Life Storage (formerly mini storage depot) immediately and went in to collect the salvageable items. When I was moving out, I worked with two girls who let me in to wash mold off my hands, directed me to the dumpster to throw out my items etc. They told me that all I needed to do was file a claim with insurance and photograph the moldy items. No mention of photographing the unit or anything. Later when insurance called however, the company informed the insurance that I never told them about the mold, that I never mentioned it on my exit survey (which I was never given) and that it was news to them. Now insurance won’t approve my claim for my lost items."

"Super disappointed that a new company has taken over and customers were not informed. Prices raised with new company, though assured prices would not change. Late fee charged for on time automatic payment. All with in 24 hours of taking over......... Poor customer service so far for sure."
