"Rat Infested. Copy of email to Life Storage. Please see the attached photos of rat related damage to our items that we had in 3 rented storage units at Life Storage in Denham Springs, LA. I am very upset about what happened to our items, but even more upset about how we were treated. The staff on duty accused us of storing BBQ sauce because one of the movers stated he saw a packet of BBQ sauce, Please see the picture of the packet of BBQ sauce on the ground which we googled and found it is a packet of McDonalds' BBQ sauce. McDonalds is located almost right next door to your storage unit. We did not store any food in any of the 3 rented storage units. I expect to be compensated for my two mattresses and for the damage to my other items. I refuse to file a claim with my All State Insurance because rats are not supposed to be in climate controlled storage units. I have also included pictures of trash outside of your facility and of an opened soda can in another unoccupied storage unit down from where our items were stored."

"RAT INFESTED.  We stored our furniture with Life Storage while we were building our new house and when we went to move our things out it was discovered that it all had rat damage.  They tried to accuse us of storing food because one of the movers we hired found a single to go packet of BBQ sauce on the floor.  We googled it and discovered it is a McDonalds sauce and McDonalds happens to be right next door.  When I told the manager it seems like you have a rat problem, she told me they didn't and it was only our 3 units.  So please see the picture of another unit I took a picture of and note the rat droppings (it's the picture from above with the wire mesh).  So my mattresses are ruined and I have damage to my furniture and they have a RAT PROBLEM."

"The staff that day were great but when trying to get in contact with them to pay was bad. My stuff has probably been cleaned out and dumped by now. (The online payment method wouldn’t work it said my account doesn’t exist that’s why I tried calling)Called them so many times for no answer so I just gave up. Nothing I can do when I’m in an entirely different state. All my items are gone because no one answered. called them for 2 months straight to get a automatic text message response saying they will clean it out if not paid while I’m trying to call them. Sad.thanks for giving me hope and crushing it and my memories and items along with it."

Life Storage is incredibly well taken care of and inexpensive for the quality of service and space you receive. If I ever need to store anything, I will be coming back here.
