Job Description — As a Store Manager II, you will be responsible for managing day to day operations a storage facility with greater than 500 spaces. You will also be responsible for the direct supervision and scheduling of any Associate Managers at the property. The Store Manager position is crucial to maintaining a clean and welcoming property, recommending storage solutions, and providing the best customer service in the storage industry. Successful Store Managers will have a strong desire to grow the business and a positive attitude that reflects a commitment to maintain the highest level of customer service.

You're in luck - Life Storage offers consistent scheduling which allows for a great work-life balance! Our stores are open from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday and open 4 hours on Sunday. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities include:

•Recommending and renting appropriate self-storage spaces and selling related merchandise (moving supplies, locks, boxes, etc.)

•Assisting customers with the leasing process by reviewing the rental procedure

•Providing great customer service to new and existing customers

•Accepting/refunding payments and making bank deposits/withdrawals

•Financial goal and budget management

•Recommending and implementing innovative marketing strategies in your region

•Maintaining a working knowledge of the company's products and services

•Conducting daily visual property audits of the entire facility to confirm available rental inventory

•Keeping the property maintained, clean, and free of debris (sweeping, cleaning, changing light bulbs, etc.)

•Making collection calls on delinquent customer accounts and coordinating monthly auctions


•A high school diploma or equivalent; college education a plus!

•At least two (2) years of management experience

•Excellent sales and customer service skills

•Must enjoy working with customers face-to-face

•Basic computer skills (opening/closing programs, navigating web pages, light data entry)

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills

•Ability to work independently or as part of a team

•Backgrounds in property management, retail, and hospitality a plus!

•Flexible hours that include both WEEKDAYS and WEEKENDS

•Valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation

•All applicants are required to submit to a background check
